Board Member of Accra Great Olympics, Fred Pappoe has disclosed his side spent a whopping GHC1 million to gain qualification to the Ghana topflight.

Olympics secured promotion to the premier division after defeating Tudu Might Jets 2-1 in the GN Bank Division one League on Sunday.

The Wonder Club joins Elmina Sharks from Zone Two as two out of the three clubs to confirm their qualification to the 2016/17 season.

"We have sacrificed a lot, I can tell you we spent about GHC1 million to qualify back to the League, this includes paying bonuses, transportation, feeding, accommodation," said Fred Pappoe in an interview with Happy FM

“We made sure we motivated our players by ensuring they feel comfortable so we had to sacrifice and put in enough resources.”

With a game left to end the GN Division one season, the Wonder Club lies top of zone 3 with 63 points.
