After losing the Regional Football Association (GFA) election today, retired referee Osei Nsiah says the Ashanti Regional delegates were bribed with ‘waakye’ from Osei Tutu Agyeman who eventually won the chairmanship position.
The former referee had high hopes of beating the incumbent Osei Tutu who is popularly known as ‘Kotoko’.
At the end of the polls, delegates voted for Kotoro who has successfully retained his position as the Ashanti RFA chairman. He amassed 41 of the total vote cast as against Osei Nsiah who only pulled 29 votes.
Speaking to Otec FM at the end of today’s elections, the retired referee who was shocked by the outcome of the polls says his opponent bought the minds of the delegates after feeding them with ‘waakye’ n the morning.
He explained, “Delegates have really shown they are not reliable, this morning they were asked to come to a certain place, when they got there, they were fed with Waakye”
"The delegates assured me with 40 votes during the campaign but this morning I realized you cannot rely on them because they were asked to go to a certain place and when they went, I'm told they were fed with 'Waakye'”.
“Delegates cannot be predicted, they have their different way of behaving”.
