Ghanaian International, Richmond Boakye Yiadom featured for Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday night when they played a goalless draw with Lithuanian side Suduva in the qualifying round of the Uefa Champions League (UCL).

Red Star is hoping to secure qualification into the UCL next season and started their play-off against Suduva yesterday. After a pulsating encounter though, they only managed to draw and are now turning attention to the second leg tie.

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was handed a starting place in the team and lasted for 71 minutes before he was substituted for Milan Pavkov.

Nonetheless, the 26-year old had a good game and linked up play with Red Star Belgrade's midfield to cause havoc in the final third of their opponent.

The tie is still open with both sides with a good chance of securing a spot in the group stage of the UCL next season.

Red Star, however, has the better advantage as they will be playing host to their Lithuanian opponent. A win will ideally hand them qualification ahead of Suduva.
