Richmond Kickers sign Amass Amankona

Ghanaian youngster Amass Amankona has joined Richmond Kickers ahead of 2019 season.

The USA based side officially secured the services of the highly-rated wonderkid on Friday awaiting pending league and federation approval.

The 23 year-old played three seasons at the University of Dayton after playing one season at the University of Ghana, Legon.

The former Indy Eleven attacking midfielder plied his football in the USL league two with Dayton Dutch Lions, where he made 11 appearances.

Amankona consistent performance in the Championship earned him over 26 matches in his rookie season, drifting 46th overall at the 2016 MLS.

He made 61 appearances and scored 23 goals for Flyers.

He was adjudged the best midfielder of the year as well as First Team All-conference.

He previously played for Charlotte Eages where he made 14 appearances and bagged three goals in 2015.

In 2016, he played for Real Monarchs where he featured in 26 games and scored once.
