Right to Dream Academy defeated Nigerian side TikiTaka Academy on penalties to win the prestigious Gothia Cup U17 trophy on Saturday.
Simon Adingra pounced on a goalkeeper’s mistake to give the Ghanaian side the lead before halftime.
However, TikiTaka equalized in the 50th minute through Trek Anthony Stephen who knocked home a rebound from close range.
The evenly balanced encounter ended 1-1 in regulation time, which meant it had to be settled via penalty shootouts.
Right to Dream showed alot of nerve to win the shootouts 3-2.
