Cesc Fabregas has been one of the Premier League's top midfielders for ten years now, but his slightly marginalised role at Chelsea has been attracting a few admiring eyes in England and from abroad.

With the World Cup winner somewhat out of favour at Stamford Bridge,Antonio Conte might be intrigued by reports from theMirror, which claim that Roma have become the latest side to express interest in the Spaniard.

It seems that Fabregas is highly rated enough by the club for them to offer one of two key players in a swap dealfor his services.

One of the offered players is reported to be Radja Nainggolan. The Belgian midfielder is very highly-rated across European football, yet could be sacrificed to bring in 29-year-oldFabregas.

The other name being touted in a potential swap dealis promising German centre-back Antonio Rudiger, who has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester City..

Roma, whosit second in Serie A and topped their Europa League group, are looking to add quality to their ranks in order to try and wrestle the Italian title away from Juventus.

However, it would be a surprise to see them release one of their best players for Fabregas, but defender Cesar Azpilicueta has reminded everybody of the Chelsea player's crucial qualities to any team.

To have a player like him at the club is really important. We know his qualities, he is a game-changer."

"The passes he did during the win against Manchester City were amazing. He provided the assist for the goal which got us back into the game - Diego scored a very good goal. Not a lot of players can do that kind of pass."

"I have seen him do things like that for years, with Spain as well. The skill that he has is very special."
