Ropapa Mensah lifts Harrisburg City Islanders with win over Ottawa Fury in USL

Ghanaian forward Ropapa Mensah scored the only goal as Harrisburg City Islanders defeated Ottawa Fury 1-0 in the United Soccer League.

The Inter Allies striker has been on a good run of form since finding his goal scoring boots, and has now scored six times in the United Soccer League.

The 20-year old joined the Islanders at the beginning of the season and has impressed immensely helping the club place a respectable 12th position in the League.

The Harrisburg City Islanders kept their playoff hopes alive with a 1-0 shutout of Ottawa Fury FC Wednesday night at FNB Field.

Harrisburg looked to be hampered in this game when Cardel Benbow was sent off with a straight red card in the 40th minute and was forced to finish the match with only 10-men.

The City Islanders got a spark from the man who has been the MVP of this team so far this season. Ropapa Mensah lifted his team to a victory with a 46th-minute goal when he chipped a shot over the right shoulder of the Fury goalie.
