Ghana Premier League returnees, Real Tamale United [RTU] are on the verge of signing Cameroon international, Thomas Bawak Etta according to reports in the local media.
The 27-year-old Yaoundé-born is set to join the Northern Blues ahead of the 2021/2 football season as a free agent after running down his contract with Cotonsport de Garoua in his native.
Etta spent almost three years at Cotonsport during which he earned a spot to represent Cameroon at the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco.
Bawak Etta featured against Asante Kotoko when the Porcupine Warriors defeated Cotonsport 3-2 in Garoua in the preliminary round of the 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup.
He, however, could not make the trip for the second leg in Kumasi due to injury.
Real Tamale United are back in the Ghanaian topflight for the 2021/22 season after spending 8 years in the second-tier.
The 2021/22 Ghana football season has been scheduled to kick off on October 29.
