Samir Nasri reportedly has his heart set on joining loan side Sevilla in a permanent deal, according to the Sun.
The Manchester City footballer is believed to be ready to end his Etihad nightmare and trade Premier League football for regular game time and sunnier climes in Spain's top flight.
Nasri joined Sevilla on a season-long loan after City manager Pep Guardiola told the midfielder that he was not part of his first-team plans ahead of the new campaign - a move that saw Nasri agree to a switch to the Andalusian outfit on transfer deadline day.
The France international is expected to return to Manchester, after the European winter break comes into effect in December, to discuss his future with City's representatives, and he is ready to state his desire to leave City for good.
Sevilla do not have the option of first refusal on signing Nasri on a permanent basis, but the Sun claims that the three-time Europa League winners will scrape together enough cash to prise the 29-year-old away from the Citizens in the near future.
A source within the City camp said: City are keen to discuss the situation. The two clubs have a good relationship.
They have had dealings with Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo. Samir is having a great time and loving the lifestyle.�
One potential sticking point in any transfer would be Nasri's £130,000-a-week wages, as well as the rumoured £12m fee required to buy out the remaining two years of his contract at City.
The ex-Arsenal star may, therefore, need to take a pay cut to force through any move to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium-based side if he is to get his wish of securing a permanent move to the Spanish side.

Nasri has notched three goals in his opening nine games for Sevilla, and has helped Jorge Sampaoli's charges up to second in the La Liga league table in the opening months of the campaign.
The playmaker is also believed to harbour ambitions of playing in the USA's Major League Soccer franchise, but is is no rush to head across the Atlantic until later in his career.
Nasri joined City from Arsenal for around £24m in July 2011, and went on to register 27 goals in 176 appearances during his five-year spell at the Etihad.
