Samuel Owusu impressed with the quality of players in Saudi League; Rates league as best in the Middle East

Ghanaian youngster, Samuel Owusu has described the Saudi Pro League as the best league in the Middle East while noting that it has so many high-quality players.

The Black Stars asset secured a transfer to Al Fayha in 2019 and has since impressed in the Saudi top-flight after establishing himself as one of the best players for his club.

In an interview, the former Čukarički winger says he sees the Saudi league as one of the best leagues he has played in.

"I see that the Saudi League is one of the best leagues I have played in so far, it is a very professional league and includes a lot of high-quality players, so it is the best league in the Middle East”, the 24-year-old said while speaking to Sport 360.

On the suspension of the Saudi league due to the impact of the Coronavirus, Owusu said: “The spread of the Coronavirus has already affected the team's training and our matches, but every player performs some exercises at home only to maintain body fitness and of course I want to continue the league when this pandemic ends, but it all depends on what is decided by the Saudi Football Association”.

The nimble-footed forward has made 20 appearances for Al Fayha and has managed to find the back of the net 5 times.
