South African referee Eugene Mdluli was given a hot chase by FC San Pedro player after their injury-time defeat to Asante Kotoko SC in the CAF Confederation Cup on Monday at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.

The Porcupines defeated San Pedro by a lone goal through Naby Keita's spot-kick to hand Asante Kotoko a slim win ahead of the second leg.

The game was initially abandoned on Sunday after a goalless first half due to the heavy downpour in Kumasi was rescheduled and played on Monday.

Asante Kotoko although dominated the match, hard difficulties in finding the back of the net.

The Ivorian side looked to be on course for a hard-earned draw, but with the clock ticking into stoppage time, Kotoko earned a penalty after Burkina Faso attacker Songne Yacouba was brought down inside the box.

The Referee's decision to award the stoppage time penalty did not sit well with San Pedro's player who chased him after the final whistle.
