Head Coach of Division two side Satellite City Football Club from the Eastern Region, Desmond Quansah is confident of winning the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup in the United States.

The club will represent Ghana and Africa at the famous competition, held annually for players between the ages of 13 to 19.

The Dallas Cup is one of the oldest youth tournaments that has produced several world class players including for U.S International Freddy Adu, Jozy Altodore of Sunderland and legendary former Fulham forward Clint Dempsey.

Ahead of the competition which begins on March 25th, head Coach of the only Ghanaian side to ever participate in the competition, Desmond Quansah said, they are going to win the competition.

“There is no harm in trying anything. I think so far I have trained the boys ahead of the competition and I can guarantee we will go there and win the competition,” he told footballghana.com.

With several top clubs from Europe and across the globe competing, Satellite FC is primed to learn from the giants of football.

The tournament will see clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal all participating at the competition and Coach Quansah believes the tournament could serve as a learn experience for the club.

“I think as far as Coaching is concerned we keep on upgrading every blessed day. Looking at Africa as a whole, I think we have a long way to go. So having interaction with the big guys will help,” he said.

“We are not going there to only play but we are going to learn a whole lot of thing when it comes to soccer and that is one of our main priorities. The boys are going there to learn and myself as a Coach I’m going to learn so the team will come back with a whole lots of experience.”

The tournament will begin on March 25th and end on April 1st in Dallas, United States.
