Schick: Roma are still confused after the transfer window

Published on: 06 September 2018

Roma went through something of a makeover this summer with star players leaving, prompting an arrival of a number of new signings, many of those being relative youngsters and Patrik Schick says there is still some confusion among the squad as they look to find their feet in Serie A.

Schick himself only arrived at the Stadio Olimpico in the summer of 2017 and struggled to fully settle in the Roma side last season.

“There is still a bit of confusion,” Schick said, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We need to settle down.

“A lot of players arrived; as many as 11, maybe more. A lot of those are young players and on the other hand, Radja Nainggolan, Kevin Strootman and Alisson left who were all leaders.”

After an underwhelming campaign last term, Schick also said that he feels good this year and is ready to have a big season for the Giallorossi.

“After last year I knew that preparation was going to be fundamental for me,” he added. “I wanted to be at my best before we started working and I did it.

“I arrived in shape and motivated.

“Unfortunately we lost the last game and I’m disappointed that I couldn’t score but I feel fit and determined to show who I am.”
