Bechem United striker, Abednego Tetteh has disclosed that scoring against his hat-trick against Hearts of Oak on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League will hurt his father who is a fan of Accra Hearts of Oak.

Abednego scored in the 18th minute before hitting two more in the 50th and 82nd minute to give the home side a stunning 3:0 lead. Owusu Bempah scored in injury time a goal which wouldn't even pass as consolation for the Phobians considering the manner and effect of the defeat to their title chase.

The hat trick has now increased Tetteh’s goal tally to 12 with just two goals behind leader Yaya Mohammed of Aduana Stars.

“The hat-trick I scored today is remarkable and it will be one of the things I will never forget in my entire life because I have disappointed someone, my dad," Abednego told the media.

“My dad is a staunch Hearts of Oak fan. He is popularly called Phobia among his peers.

“I have disappointed him but it's my work I'm doing. I am really excited for the hat-trick and I give praises to God.”

Abednego and Bechem United now turn their attention to the MTN FA Cup finals against Okwuhu United and will be hoping to clinch it for the first time in the history of the club.
