Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has shared that despite Atletico Madrid’s good start to the 2019/2020 Spanish La Liga season, it will be too early to talk of clinching the title.
Nicknamed the Rojiblancos, the Spanish giants have managed to win all their three matches and find themselves top of the League standings.
Speaking on the back of talks of lifting the coveted league title at the end of the season, Thomas Partey shared that there is a long season ahead but they are motivated to keep working hard.
“Just getting started. We have three games and the League is long. This motivates us to continue working”, the midfielder said after netting the winning goal for his side as they beat Eibar 3-2 at the Wanda Metropolitano.
He further revealed that they endured a difficult game over the weekend and are happy to have emerged victorious at the end of the day.
“We started the game suffering by fitting two goals. It was a difficult game. We have done a great job and that is why we are happy”, the 26-year-old said.
