Sellas Tetteh should have been Coach of U-20 national team- Veteran Coach J.E.A Sarpong

Veteran Coach, J.E.A Sarpong says newly appointed Coach of the Black Queens Sellas Tetteh should have rather be made coach of the national under 20 team.

Sellas Tetteh enjoyed success as Coach of the Black Statellites, where he won the FIFA U-20 world Cup and remains the only Coach on the continent to achieve that feat.

However, after spells with the senior teams of Rwanda and Sierra Leone, the former assistant Coach of the Black Stars has been assigned the role of the head Coach of the Black Queens.

Meanwhile, outspoken former Coach of Ebusua Dwarfs is not in tandem with Sellas' new role.

“Appointing Borbor (Sellas Tetteh) as the head coach of the Black Queens isn’t an issue but whether he will be able to do it well is the problem.

“I think Borbor (Sellas Tetteh) should have been made the head coach of the U20 again because he has been doing well there,” Coach Sarpong told Alpha Radio in Kumasi.

Sellas Tetteh will lead the Black at the WAFU tournament to be held in Ivory Coast as well as over see the team as Ghana host the Africa Womens Championship later this year.
