Senegalese referee, Maguette Ndiaye, has been rated 7/10 by retired referee Francis Osei Narh after officiating Ghana's final World Cup qualifying group game against South Africa.

Ghana won the game 1-0 thanks to a penalty from Andre Ayew. After the match, South Africa accused the referee of poor officiating and sent the matter to FIFA for review.

“The most important thing here is that there was a contact. So once that has been established by evidence of the video we have all seen. For me I think Maguette Ndiaye’s decision was spot on and I will score him 7/10 in the game,” Narh told Kumasi-based station Hello FM.

The matter is yet to be settled. However, for now, Ghana have advanced to the final round of qualification and await their opponents.
