Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has hit out at former Barcelona and current Juventus defender, Dani Alves, for his comments that questioned Ramos' loyalty to Sevilla when he played there.

The Spaniard had been accused of not being loyal enough to Sevilla by Alves, who also questioned his legacy as a Sevilla player.

The Brazilian made these allegations during an interview with ABC, as perAS, and spoke about his time at Sevilla, when he was a teammate of Ramos'.

He had said, "Just a few days before morning to Real Madrid, Ramos declared eternal love for Sevilla and that is the root problem of the ire that the fans hold towards Ramos. He's still hostage to those words."

He had also questioned his career at the Andalusian club, saying, "Ramos, to be frank, didn't achieve that much at Sevilla. I was there for six years and won plenty of titles."

Sergio Ramos: "This talk coming from Dani Alves, a guy who loves Brazil a year, then Spain, then Italy the year after."

Following Real Madrid's come from behind 3-2 win at Villarreal, Ramos took the chance to hit back at his former Sevilla teammate over his comments.

He said, as reported by AS, "When it comes to Alves, who one year loves Brazil, another year loves Spain, and a year after Italy, I have nothing to say [on the matter].Sentiments aren't measured, I was born a Sevillista and that's not going to change, no matter who likes it or not."

Dani Alves had raised the subject when he was asked about Sergio Ramos being booed by the Sevilla fans, before going on to comment about the Spaniard's career as a player at the club.

Though it is clear that Ramos holds his Seville roots close, he has had a tough relationship with the fans, having left the club at a young age to play for Real Madrid, where has achieved tremedous success over the last 12 years.
