Pepe Reina was officially introduced to the media alongside Paolo Maldini and Leonardo, taking part in the press conference which aired live on Milan TV, Facebook and Youtube. These are the best bits from Pepe Reina's press conference:
LEADERSHIP
"AC Milan have always been a special club and as a kid, you dream to play here one day. I am honoured and happy, I want to help the team and club grow, trying to take AC Milan back to the top. Leonardo and Maldini are two football legends and this club's history speaks for itself. I feel the club believes in me and I want to repay them for their trust. I will train hard every day to be ready for action.
GATTUSO AND HIGUAIN
"I had a very good first impression of Gattuso, he's very straightforward and I like this. I hope we can have a similar style of play to Napoli's, something really amazing. We want to better sixth place, this is the challenge. I found Higuain highly motivated and in really good shape. It was AC Milan that convinced him to come here, not me.
AC MILAN ONLY
"The opportunity to move to London [Chelsea, ed.] never existed and I never even though about it. I chose AC Milan and I want to stay here. I will give my all. It's down to the coach to choose who plays and his decision will be in the team's best interest: the best will play".
