Sevilla Confirm Signing of Stevan Jovetic From Inter On Loan With Option to Buy

Sevilla have confirmed the signing offormer Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic on-loan from Interfor the remainder of the season, with an option to buy.

The Andalusian club tweeted pictures of the Montenegrin striker undergoing a medical, before being presented with the number 16 shirt, alongside manager Jorge Sampaoli.

Jovetic joins La Liga's second placed side after having had a varied career - most notably playing for Partizan Belgrade, Fiorentina and Inter, as well as winning 40 caps for his native Montenegro.


In another tweet from the club, the 27-year-old apparently cited former Manchester City teammate Samir Nasri, as one of the influences behind his decision to move to the south of Spain.

Inter also released astatement:Stevan Jovetic has been loaned to Sevilla FC until June 30th 2017, where the Spanish side has an option to make the transfer permanent.�


By reported estimates, the fee to make the deal a permanent one is setat around€14 million.


The forward is Sevilla second January signing following the capture of defender Clement Lenglet from French side AS Nancy.
