Sheffield Wednesday Boss Carlos Carvalhal Hails Youngsters 'Quality'

Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal has been impressed with his youngster's "ability"this pre-season and has high hopes for them.


Carvalhal revealed the inclusion of young pros George Hirst, Conor O'Grady, Jack Lee, Sean Clare and Jack Stobbs is promising and hailed their qualities while on their five-day Portugal training camp.

We give attention to the boys to correct little things and also to improve them so they understand what we want,� the Owls' boss told the club'sofficial website.


Really I have good expectations about these boys, they are boys at just 17 and 18-years-old with very good ability.


We didn't bring them to make up the numbers, we brought them because we want to try to push them."


Carvalhal does not want torush his youngster's progress and will wait for the right time to give them the opportunities they deserve.


We can't say for sure they will play this year or next year, but what I can say is that players will play if they have quality.


It's not about age. This group have quality and it's good for the club that we have these boys with us,� he concluded.
