Ghanaian winger Solomon Asante was once again named USL official man of the match as Phoenix Rising FC thrashed Portland Timbers 3-0 in the Western Conference Quarterfinals of the 2018 USL Cup Playoffs.
The former TP Mazembe player was instrumental for his side which saw him score a 90th-minute goal.
Asante completed an overwhelming 30 of 35 passes and supplied two dangerous passes to the Timbers penalty box.
The 28-year-old has been Phoenix star man this season netting 14 goals in 33 appearances and has already won his club’s player of the season.
He is expected to play a key role when Phoenix Rising FC face the winner of the Sacramento Republic FC / Swope Park Rangers winner in the next round.
