Solomon Asante: Ghanaian attacker emerge as top assist provider in USL Championship

Ghana and Phoenix Rising FC attacker, Solomon Asante finished the United Soccer League (USL) regular season by setting two incredible records in the division.

The diminutive winger on top of captaining his side to success in the Western Conference also managed to score the most goals (22) in the Champions whiles additionally providing the most assist (17).

He has been in red-hot form all season and wrapped up the regular season by providing another key assist as Phoenix Rising FC posted a 3-1 defeat over OKC Energy on Friday night.

At the end of the campaign, Asante has won the goal king award as well as the best assist provider.

The former Black Stars winger also recently swooped four awards at the club’s gala night where he took home the MVP accolade.

He is now hoping to stay in fine form as the team targets clinching the playoff title to ensure they gain promotion to play in the MLS next season.
