Some people in the GFA do not support Chris Hughton - Alhaji Grusah

King Faisal bankroller Alhaji Grusah has stated that new Black Stars coach Chris Hughton doesn't have the full support of people in the Ghana Football Association.

Chris Hughton was announced as the new Black Stars coach on February 12 by the Ghana Football Association.

The Black Stars has been without a head coach following the resignation of Otto Addo after the team's exit from the group stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Mr. Hughton was the Technical Advisor of the Black Stars for the past twelve months.

Speaking to Asanteman FM Grusah said:

"Some people in the GFA do not support the appointment of Chris Hughton because of their parochial interests."

Details about the duration of the contract and terms of engagement were not provided during the announcement. Chris Hughton will be supported by Assistant Coaches George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.
