South Africa to probe further into FIFA's protest response

The South African Football Association (SAFA), has revealed that they will enquire further on FIFA's reasons for throwing out their protest against Ghana.

SAFA sent a protest to FIFA highlighting a alleged manipulation of their tie against the Black Stars, a match they lost 1-0 sealing their place away from the final stages of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

They submitted the protest hoping for a rematch but FIFA threw their case out. They now seek further understanding of the matter.

“we have received the decision without details and we will request Fifa for the reasons and consider our options” in a statement regarding the verdict last Friday.

In the meantime, it is expected that Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos keeps his job for a longer time after inspiring the side to contention.
