South Korea attacker Cho Gue-sung keen on scoring against Ghana's Black Meteors

South Korea attacker, Cho Gue-sung has noted that he hopes to continue his fine form this weekend by scoring against the Ghana U-23 team when the two sides meet in a friendly match.

As part of preparations for the Tokyo Olympic Games, the Olympic team of South Korea have decided to face Ghana to devise a strategy to play against South Africa, a side they are billed to lock horns with at the Games.

With just a day from the match, Cho Gue-sung in an interview has set his sight on steering his team to victory.

According to the forward, Korean great Kim Eun-jung who is a senior assistant coach for the team has helped a lot in training and he will want to score to show the progress he has made.

"He helps us with finer points of offense. And obviously, it's up to me to go out there and score goals. I'd love to score against Ghana,” Cho said in a pre-match interview.

Japan and Ghana are set to play two separate friendly matches. The first will be played on Saturday, June 12, 2021, before the final one is played next Tuesday.

Both matches will be played at the Jeju World Cup Stadium.
