England coach Gareth Southgate will be at Anfield today for Liverpool's clash with Middlesbrough.

The Sunday Mirror says Daniel Sturridge can stake his claim for an England recall today when Southgate watches Liverpool try to clinch Champions League qualification against Middlesbrough.

Southgate will be at Anfield to see if the striker can bring the curtain down on another injury-ravaged season by helping his club secure a top-four place.

England face Scotland in a World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park on June 10 before meeting France in a friendly three days later.

And the England boss will be on Merseyside to run the rule over Kop duo Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana as well as Boro's Ben Gibson.
