Amidu penned a one-year deal with the Azulgranas after passing his mandatory medical and completing the formalities.

The 18-year-old joined the Spanish club from Ghanaian third-tier side Spartans FC after his impressive performance for the side over the past seasons.

The highly-rated central defender was one of the key players for the second division club last season before the competition was halted following the airing of the investigative piece by ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on corruption in Ghana football.

Baba will start his Extremadura career with the Under 19’s before he progresses to the senior team.

He is the fourth Ghanaian player to sign for Extremadura this winter.
