Russian clubs Spartak Moscow and Lokomotiv Moscow have reached out to Kayserispor to make an offer for Bernard Mensah, footballghana.com can exclusively report.
Footballghana.com understands that the Russian clubs asked of his price and plan to meet again with the Turkish outfit after their season ends to finalize the deal.
This could derail the plans of Beşiktaş, who wants to sign the 25 year old to bolster their midfield. Fernerbache are also interested in the player.
Kayserispor would ideally want to keep the Ghanaian for next season but Bernard is seeking for a move to a bigger club where he can participate in UEFA Champions League.
“I love Kayseri. It is nice to stay in Kayserispor, I love the team and the city. But I have goals too. I will be very pleased if I play football in the Champions League,” he said recently to the club's media team.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder has scored three goals and provided eight assists in 20 Super Lig games this season.
