Karela United in-form striker Diawisie Taylor has praised his teammates after stunning AshantiGold in Obuasi to set up a mouthwatering final against Asante Kotoko in the GFA Normalisation Committee Special Competition.

The Aiyinase-based club defied odds to beat the Miners at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium to advance to finals of the Special Competition.

Taylor bagged his 10th goal of the season late in the game to secure a memorable victory for Karela United.

Speaking after the game, the goal poacher lauded his teammates for putting up a great fight against a difficult Ashanti Gold side in Obuasi.

"Playing AshGold at the Len Clay is always difficult. Our motive coming here is to pick a win and glory be to God we were able to accomplish our mission," he told the media.

"We thank our fans, management and all who gave a helping hand in the attainment of this victory and to my teammates' thanks for helping me score the winner and the hard work we all put together”.

Diawise has been linked in a move to Asante Kotoko which the player has refused to comment on.
