Hearts of Oak coach Kim Grant was left impressed by his side's mentality after they came from a goal down to beat Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 in the NC Special Competition at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Dwarfs took the lead courtesy Albert Hammond strike in the 5th-minute with a fantastic header but Christopher Bonney artfully converted a penalty kick in the 13th minute before Abdul Manaf Umar Gumar Jnr sealed the win 4 minutes into the second half.
Hearts recorded their second consecutive win on Sunday after bouncing back from a home draw with Liberty Professionals.
The 46-year-old gaffer has praised the mentality of his side following the win.
“Brilliant win today, a hard-fought win. Top of the table with 3 matches to go. Proud of this young team and their winning mentality & fighting spirit,” the former Charlton Athletic striker posted on his Official Facebook page after the match which recorded violent scenes at the final whistle.
Hearts will face Karela United in a crucial encounter on matchday 12 of the competition.
