Special Prayer Section Held by Dreams FC
DREAMS FC

A special mid-season prayer session was held at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu. It has been widely credited for Dreams FC’s improved home form.

The Dawu based club are yet to lose a game at Dawu since the start of the second half of the season.

AshGold have been the only club that have managed to come away with a point from Dawu – grinding out a 1-1 result on Match day 24 fixture.

Dreams FC is expected to return to winning ways when they host Techiman City this weekend following the disappointing 1-0 defeat suffered at Sogakope to WAFA in midweek.

The side’s success at home has however been attributed to the special Islamic and Christian prayers offered at Dawu before the start of the second half of the second.

Dreams FC had endured three back-to-back draws at home to finish the first half of the season in 7th place.

This prompted the board and management to seek divine intervention by inviting eminent people of both faiths – the foundation of the football club – to seek favour for the club.

The form of C. K. Akonnor’s side especially at home has been near perfect following the important prayer session with the involvement of the board, management, technical and administrative staff, players and supporters.

Dreams FC have collected ten out of twelve available points in the four games they’ve played so far in the second half of the season which included the 4-0 mauling of former Premier League champions Berekum Chelsea.

The special grace sought by the leadership on behalf of the entire club is expected to be extended when Techiman City come visiting on Sunday.

With just one goal conceded during this period, Dreams FC is expected to steamroll over their Sunday opponents to avenge a painful 1-0 defeat suffered in the corresponding fixture in the first half of the season in Techiman.

Father of Cudjoe Mensah and Community Relations Manager Iddrisu Yussif Cliff led the Christian and Muslim prayer sessions respectively.

Dreams FC will host Techiman City at the Dawu Sports Stadium in the Match Day 26 fixture.
