Sporting Kansas City boss Peter Vermes has heaped praises on former Ghana Most Valuable Player Latif Atta Blessing, insisting the player has exceeded expectations in his first season with the club.

Manager Peter Vermes was happy with the 20 year Old’s quick adaptation to the Major League. Latif Blessing scored the all-important winner in Kansas 3-2 win over Chicago Fire on Saturday evening.

The forward’s coach praised the striker for his performance indicating he has exceeded his expectations.

“I’d say him (Latif Blessing), Ilie Sanchez, Gerso Fernandes, all of the guys we brought in, their acclimation has been almost seamless to the team. There’s one thing about soccer, they’re very good players, they’ve got great attitudes but they’re great people,” he said after the game.

“The fact that they fit in so well and so quickly, not just on the field but off the field -- it has a lot to do with off the field -- they’ve all exceeded our expectations from the point of view of how fast they’ve simulated to the team,” he added.

The pacy winger is enjoying a good debut season with the MLS side, having scored six times for the club.
