The Minister for Youth, Sport and Culture, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah has confirmed that his sector is owing the Black Stars as well as the Black Meteors.

The two national teams were in action in November in different capacities. The senior national team played two qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome while the Black Meteors were in action at the CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) tournament.

At a press meeting on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, Hon. Isaac Asiamah has revealed that the MoYS is yet to pay the two national teams their winning bonuses for those matches in the past month.

He explained, “I am discussing with the FA leadership, the bonus structure I have already asked him to re-look it."

“But as at now, our fourth quarter has not hit our accounts so we are waiting for it to hit our account and pay them. As it stands we owe the Black Stars two bonuses for their match against South Africa and Sao Tome”.
