The start of the Ghana league has delayed following a court injunction secured by Accra Great Olympics.

The injunction served the FA compelled the federation to call off the annual Ordinary Congress as well as the launch and start of the Premier League – a development that is worrying the Minister.

"To have the league postponed indefinitely due to the injunction is indeed a worry not only to me but the people of Ghana having listened to media commentaries concerning the injunction,” the Minister said.

“This is a country where football is the passion of the nation and so to see the league's commencement put on hold indefinitely affects the game.

“It deprives both the players and the football sporting fraternity what they love to do and this ultimately indicts us as a country with great football history.”

"Once the matter is before the courts, it is my hope that the case is settled soon to pave way for our league to start," he noted.
