Sports Ministry inaugurates LOC for 2018 African Women’s Championship

The ministry of Youth and Sports has inaugurated a ten man committee for the Organization of the Africa Women’s Championship next year.

Member of Parliament for Tano North Hon. Freda Prempah has been named the chairperson of the Local Organizing committee (LOC) of the 2018 Africa Women’s Championship.

Other members include former Ghana Football Association Vice President Fred Crentsil, Ghana Football Association Committee member and head of the Women’s League Board Madam Leaniar Addy as well as Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang.

The ministry named the team on Thursday, and their primary mandate will be to oversee the organization before, during and after the tournament.

Ghana is for the first time host the African Women’s Championship after they placed third in the last edition in Cameroon.
