Tottenham hero Glenn Hoddle says a ball boy deserves an assist for Dele Alli's first goal against Real Madrid last night.
Alli's 27th minute opener came through a move started when Harry Kane won a throw-in. The ball boy reacted instinctively to give the ball back to the England international immediately.
Kane took a quick throw-in and moments later the ball was in the back of the net.
“They've played exceedingly well," Hoddle said at half-time.
“I think they've been really high defensively, they've really played the back five high.
“They've been bold, look at this for the work-rate there. The defender gives it up, Harry doesn't.
“He picks it up, he's cute enough to get on the throw in, look the ball boy plays his part, he gets it back.
“This is Real Madrid, they've been so lackadaisical defensively, the space that you get.
“This is a wonderful pass, it is offside, it is just marginally offside.
“What a ball this is from Trippier and Dele Alli does what we said he does best.
“He gets in the box and it's just a toe."
