Mauricio Pochettino's side remain the only team unbeaten in the Premier League this season, with their defence taking much of the credit.

Spurs have conceded just six goals in their opening 11 games, equalling an average of 0.55 goals concededper outing.

However, they have struggled in the absence of Harry Kane up-front, having only scored 15 times which is exactly half of Liverpool's tally for the season.

The Lilywhites currently sit in fifth place after earning a 1-1 draw in the north-London derby last weekend.

And they will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run as they face their east-London rivals West Ham at White Hart Lane next Saturday.

Harry Kane scored on his return in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal, and if he can continue where he left off Spurs could well be credible title-contenders again this season.

Last year Spurs ran Leicester close to the crown, suffering an end of season dip that saw them lose second-spot to Arsenal on the final day of the campaign.

Pochettino's side were handed a further boost this week after news filtered through claiming thatToby Alderweireld will be fit for next week's clash with West Ham.

The Belgian international has been missing since injuring his knee in the 1-1 draw with West Brom,Tottenham have not won a game in his absence.
