Start Felix Annan against Aduana Stars - Abukari Damba urges Asante Kotoko

Former Ghana international, Abukari Damba has urged Asante Kotoko to keep Felix Annan in the post in their game against Aduana Stars.

The Porcupine Warriors will be hosted by the two times Ghana Premier League at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in their matchday 27 games.

Annan returned to the post in their 1-1 drawn game against WAFA last week after Razak Abalora was dropped by the coach for consistent errors.

And ahead of the game, Damba believes Abalora is not ready to be in the post and therefore Annan must be given the nod.

"They are all very good goalkeepers but let us look at the situation. Situations and circumstances determine which goalkeeper suppose to be in the post," he said.

"Abalora was dropped not because he was a bad goalkeeper but because of his mistakes. So because of that he was rested and for probably mental fatigue sake so he can recover. That is fine."

"Felix Annan returned to the post in the 1-1 draw(against WAFA) and his performances was satisfactory. So in my opinion, they (Kotoko) should continue to use Felix Annan in the second game (against Aduana).

"Why? Because Abalora will need time for the recovery process…For me, Abalora should be rested for about three games and see what is going to happen. Because it is a recovery process to build his confidence again.," he added.

The game has been scheduled to kick off at 15:00GMT.
