EdF Logroño midfielder, Grace Asantewaa has advised Ghana-based players to stay motivated and continue working hard in order to earn the opportunity of securing moves abroad.
The former Ampem Darkoa Ladies midfield maestro joined the Spanish Primera División club in 2019 where she managed to play some games for her side this season before the campaign had to be put on hold as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.
Speaking to Accra FM in an interview, Grace Asantewaa who knows the plight of female players in Ghana has offered some words of solidarity as she chips in with key advice.
“I will not say the local league is not good because that is where we all started from before by the Grace of God we had the opportunity to move abroad”, the midfielder said.
She added, “What I will tell other female players back home is that they do not have to give up and they should not give in to what people say.
“They should always motivate themselves and by the grace of God he will reward their hard work”.
With the 2019/2020 Spanish Primera División season canceled, Grace Asantewaa has to wait for next season before she returns to action with her EdF Logroño side.
