Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Steve Pollack has described the performance of defensive pair Adams Wahab and Awudu Nafiu as when he first met his wife, it was a struggle.

According to the Coach the pair struggled in terms of communication and positioning in the game against Eleven Wonders in the GHALCA G8 opener on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors won by a goal to nil but looked far from convincing, and Coach Steve Pollack believes there is more to come interms of improvement.

“They haven’t played together before” he said in the post match conference.

“This is their first time and it’s like me meeting my wife for the first time; I don’t know what she likes and she doesn’t know what I like. If two players have never played together before, it takes time for them to know each other, each other’s movement and whatever they should be doing.”

Adams Wahab joined the porcupine Warriors from Premier League Champions Aduana Stars and was playing for the first time together with Awudu Nafiu, who joined two seasons ago.

The club are without dependable defender Ahmed Adams who is close to making a move abroad, however, the club has brought in defender Emmanuel Owusu from Nea Salamina.

The Porcupine Warriors will represent Ghana at the CAF Confederations Cup in 2018 after winning the MTN FA Cup.

Meanwhile, the Reds will next face Dreams FC on Wednesday in the GHALCA G8 tournament.
