Stoke City striker Marko Arnautovic has defended his workrate.
The Austrian is seeking to meet his season target of ten goals.
Arnautovic, still hurting after missing a penalty at Swansea last Saturday, told The Sentinel: “I am now on six. I try to score every game, but sometimes it is hard because I am a player who wants to help the team, push the team forward, and this what happened to me on Saturday.
“I felt it a lot because I am a player who wants to make assists and score goals, that's why it was double hard for me on Saturday.
“But I am a player who is mentally strong and I look forward to the game on Saturday and try everything to change it.
“When I put all my chances together I already have 15 or 20 (goals), but this season was hard. But week-in-and-week-out I still help the team when we attack.
“I try every week. Not one week I try and the next week I don't try. The people know I always want to do my best and that is what I am here for."
