Stop criticizing and provide meaningful suggestions - Opare Addo to Ghanaian journalists

Communication director for Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has slammed journalists for constantly criticizing the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the government over the ban on football and has charged the media to give meaningful inputs.

According to the Phobians scribe, the journalists just like the football community must be patient with the Ghana FA and the government as they take a decision on the safe return of the sport in the country.

“Clubs are paying salaries and it's bringing a financial burden on us (Clubs) but humans lives are important than any other thing. If a player affects his teammate with COVID-19 during a training session, the same people who call themselves journalists will come about and say that what the Gov't and GFA did doesn't make meaning”, Opare Addo told Otec FM in an interview.

He added, “Meanwhile, they were the same people calling for football to get back. We should not spend time only criticizing, we should provide a meaningful suggestion which will help Ghana football”.

The Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Isaac Asiamah recently assured that football is on the verge of returning. Reports have it done the next address by President Nana Addo will see the lifting of the ban of football in the country.
