Ghana international, Antoine Semenyo has expressed delight after scoring to propel the Black Stars to beat their counterpart from Angola on Thursday evening.

The AFC Bournemouth forward was a second-half substitute for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament qualification match today.

Late in the game, he scored from close range to hand the Black Stars a crucial 1-0 win.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Antoine Semenyo said he is excited he has finally scored his first goal for Ghana on home soil.

“There was no pressure. I need to make sure I’m effective for the team. I always wanna help the team and be effective. I am happy today and we have to go again in the next few days.

“I’m really happy for the goal. I needed it, and the team needed it,” Antoine Semenyo shared.

Ghana next will travel to Angola for the reverse fixture of the Group E encounter on March 27.
