Footballghana.com can report that striker Jacob Apau Asiedu is on the verge of joining Ashanti Gold Sporting Club after having a medical examination on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

Following the cancelation of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season, the Obuasi-based club has been selected to represent the West African country in the CAF Confederations Cup next year.

In line with that, the Miners have decided to bring in some top players to reinforce their squad for the campaign that lies ahead.

They have been in talks with forward Jacob Apau Asiedu and is now close to completing a deal for the club.

The former Medeama Sporting Club attacker had a medical examination yesterday and should ink a contract with the club in the next few weeks.

He is just one of several players who are in advanced talks to sign for the Miners. Ashgold believes the signings are necessary to give the team a squad boost for the 2020/2021 football campaign.
