Sulley Muntari makes first appearance for Albacete

Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari made his first appearance for Spanish second-tier side Albacete in their 1-o defeat to Gimnastic on Saturday.

The 34-year-old replaced Mickael Malsa in the 84th minute of the game to mark his debut for the club.

He passed the fitness test two weeks ago but was an unused substitute when he first made the matchday squad.

Muntari is now set to play more games before the end of the season with Albacete chasing an automatic promotion ticket.

The defeat saw them slip to third; four points behind leaders Osasuna who will play today (Sunday).

He joined the Spanish second tier club on January 31 as a free agent until the end of the season.
