Pay television company SuperSport have ended their three-year association with the Ghana Football Association as the official broadcast partners of the Ghana Premier League.

SuperSport refused to extend their three-year deal with the GFA for the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup after the contract came to an end last month.

The two parties endured a turbulent relationship during the three-year period with Ghanaian clubs berating the broadcaster anytime payments were in arrears while SuperSport were also displeased with long break in the league because of court action.

Several local channels and China-based StarTimes are reportedly in a scramble to land the broadcasting rights of the league next season.
