Austrian top flight side, SV Guntamatic Ried, have started search for a replacement for Kennedy Boateng ahead of the new season, footballghana.com sources have discovered.
Boateng, a central defender for the side, has been injured and although it was expected that he will not be out long, the situation has changed as he is now being examined by a specialist.
He took a knock two months earlier and is now expected to be out longer after the visit to the specialist. He was a key player of the side, making a total of 21 league appearances in the Erste Liga last campaign. He managed to find the net once and gave another assist.
The potential replacements for the 23-year-old is unknown.
