Deputy Black Stars captain Andre Ayew will be slotted into striking position next season with Premiership side Swansea after the club allowed striker Bafetimbi Gomis to join former French champions Marseille on loan. Gomis's exit will follow those of Alberto Paloschi and Eder, leaving the Welsh desperately short on strikers reason to force Ayew’s stay at the club to play as their lead striker in the coming campaign.
Swansea sources also claim manager Francesco Guidolin is considering further reinforcements which includes Stoke striker Peter Crouch. The 35-year-old made only four Premier League starts last season and would more likely be seen as a back-up option at the Liberty Stadium behind Ghana’s Ayew. Swansea have also made enquiries about Seville's Fernando Llorente, who was part of the Spain squads that won the 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championship, and Leicester's Leonardo Ulloa. The 30-year-old Ulloa has however denied suggestions that he wants to leave Leicester this summer. He told the Leicester Mercury: 'Yes, I am happy because the group is very good. The team also, and the club is getting stronger. I am very happy here.” 'I like to play every game if I can, from the start, but if I can't start then I want to make a contribution, I want to help the team. 'Always I am ready to play. I work every week for that. I like to play and it is always helpful when the player feels important in the group.' Andre Ayew who scored 12 goals for Swansea last season, is however expected to sign for West Ham for £16 million but should he refuse to move, he will have to lead the Swansea Attack.
