Swansea City striker Jamal Lowe has lauded Andre Ayew's unselfishness in their 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship on Tuesday.

Ayew set-up Lowe in the 31st minute to give the visitors the lead at the Hillsborough Stadium after the 31-year-old seized the opportunity to snatch possession.

Swansea's leading scorer opted to square the ball rather than shoot, giving Lowe time and space to guide a rising shot beyond Keiren Westwood and into the net.

Jay Fulton's header in the 73rd minute of the game sealed a 2-0 victory for Steve Cooper's side as they continued their quest to secure automatic qualification to the Premier League next season.

"It’s a brilliant team performance and a brilliant team goal," Jamaica striker Lowe said, as reported by his club's official website.

"We went on the press and Andre won the ball back. We were two-on-one with the goalie, and Andre squared it to me and all I had to do was put it in the net.

"It was very unselfish, and it typifies how we are as a team. It’s all about the team."

Aye has scored 15 goals and provided four assists in 40 games for Swansea City in all competitions this season.
